Udawatta Kele Sanctuary's Pus Wela - Entada polystachya-leguminosae

which is an enormous climber with stems twisted like a corkscrew is considered to be 200-300 years old.

It is stated in the book "Tropical Planting and Gardening" by H.E. Macmillan that the Pus wela bears large pods which are 4-5 feet long and about 4 inches wide. This is considered to be the largest pod is containing large brown color hard flat seeds
