Welcome to Misty Valley View, an exclusive homestay sanctuary located just 4 km from historic Kandy Town. Easily accessible by private car, van, or tuk-tuk, our property offers the ultimate peaceful retreat from the bustling city.
We cater exclusively to solo travelers or couples, offering just one elegant, private guest room complete with a modern en-suite bathroom.

Perched high on a hilltop facing the eastern horizon, our homestay offers a front-row seat to nature's daily theater. Depending on the weather, your view will transform from mystical mist to vibrant sunshine or dramatic tropical rain.
Look out across the Dumbara Valley (Misty Valley) and you will see a dramatic landscape stretching over 20 kilometers. From our vantage point, you will have an unobstructed view of the famous Knuckles mountains, the five peaks that resemble a clenched fist. Dominating the northeastern horizon, the striking, pyramid-shaped peak of Hunnasgiriya—historically known as Hunagiriya, or Gecko’s Peak—provides a magnificent, theatrical backdrop to an already dramatic landscape.
Deeply Rooted in Nature and Culture
Just a few hundred meters below the property flows the Mahaweli River—Sri Lanka’s longest and most celebrated waterway. Beyond the riverbanks lie traditional Kandyan villages, famous for their unique Kandyan Home Gardens (Kandyan Ge-watta).
These ancient, multi-layered 'forest gardens' represent one of the world's oldest forms of sustainable agriculture. In this dense home jungle, every plant has a purpose—spices, medicines, fruits, and timber coexist in perfect harmony. Above them, a canopy of every shade of green imaginable stretches toward the sky, framing the spectacular view right from our doorstep.
